Electronic earplugs are designed to enhance the sounds
around you like speech and game movements, but contain
sharper impulse sounds down to a designated safe level such
as gunfire and flash bangs. Used within the shooting sports
and law enforcement divisions, these devices are excellent
in protection and enhancement qualities. |

E.A.R. MiniCanal™
It's
so small. It's Outta Sight!
Introducing
the newest technology in electronic hearing
enhancement, the E.A.R. Mini-Canal™ Series.
In response to
growing interest in electronic hearing
protection, E.A.R. developed this line of
small, discreet earplugs that fit
comfortably into the ear with the use of
various sized patent wax-guard tips. This
product offers the consumer the benefit of
electronic amplification/protection at a
non-custom fit price. It also allows the
user to share these units with another
person by simply replacing the wax-guard
tips. This feature helps law enforcement,
instructors, military personnel and shooting
enthusiasts assign these units to other
people without issues of fitting.
Regardless of
either design, the unit permits each client
to position a high quality electronic
hearing protection device into the ear where
it is not conspicuous, nor in the way of
glasses, outer headwear, or long hair. This
design is the preferred choice over behind
the ear models which can be more difficult
to use in active sports or professional
activities.
If a
custom-fit is preferred, we have the ability
to manufacture a filtered earplug which can
be used "as is" on the range and in the
field, or be adapted to house the Mini-Canal
to provide electronic enhancement of your
surrounding sounds. This "Combo-Mold"
($140.00/pr) can be bought at time of
purchase, or added at a later date.
Below you will find addition details and
features between the two styles. Other
advantages include:
-
Moisture resistant
- Unique
feedback suppression capabilities
-
User-friendly fingertip volume control
-
Patented battery cradle without polarity
issue
-
170-210 hours of battery life
- Easy
identification between left and right
units
Packaging
includes either one or two MiniCanals, two
sizes of silicone tips, cleaning brush,
batteries, hard storage case and lanyard.
(Note: If needed, additional tips and
batteries can be purchase at a later date.)
The E.A.R.
MiniCanal™ Series come with a one-year
unconditional warranty against defects in
materials or workmanship, and a 30-day
privilege to return after date of purchase
for a full refund or upgrade to a custom
unit.
This high-fidelity analog unit
works well for individuals looking for
outside enhancements of game calls, trap
releases and verbal conversation. It
features a small tone control adjustment
which can be beneficial for individuals
needing extra help in the higher
frequencies.

Filtered Earplugs
Filtered earplugs are beneficial when
individuals want to have the ability to hear
their outside sounds, but still maintain a
safe level of protection. They can be used
in several industrial as well as
recreational activities to
"take-the-edge-off" harmful noise levels.
(It is always E.A.R.'s recommendation to
have an audiogram taken after every year to
make sure your hearing protection choice is
doing its job correctly).
Please

several versions to choose from depending on
your particular activity and requirements.

 |
Acoustic
Filtered Earplugs
These specialized patented filters
are inserted into a custom mold to
allow safe sounds, those below 80dB
like normal conversation, to pass
virtually unattenuated. Yet for
sounds higher then 80dB, these
filters act like mini-restrictors
and limit the sound attenuation to
OSHA regulated requirements. Best
used for industrial noise and
shotgun sports where individuals
want to hear some conversation or
audiotory signals coming from
machinery.
|
 |
Sonic Valve
Earplugs
Sonic Valve hearing protectors are
special patented hearing protection
devices designed to allow low level
sounds, not harmful to hearing, to
pass through. But offer effective
hearing protection against high
level, high impulse noise which are
harmful to hearing. Generally used
in aviation, music and sound
engineers to reduce "noise
hangovers" and ringing ears.
|
 |
Musician's
Filtered Earplugs
Musicians practice and perform in a
variety of different settings and
they are exposed to high levels of
sound, sometimes for long periods of
time. Each require different amounts
of protection depending on the sound
levels they encounter during
rehearsals and performances.

Industrial Insta-Mold Earplugs
Industrial accounts looking for an excellent cost
effective solution in protecting their employees,
look no further than custom-made Insta-Mold's.
Having a registered CE number for European
distribution, Insta-Mold silicones continue to be
recognized worldwide as the leader in proven
"on-the-spot" protection. This fact has been even
more recognized now that hearing loss litigation and
testing have been increasing.
Insta-Mold earplugs are made from a medical grade
silicone and provide employees with the ultimate in
comfort and satisfaction as they are custom shaped
to the employee's own ear. Remaining flexible and
soft throughout their lifetime, the Insta-Molds will
provide several years of use. This eliminates the
amount of discomfort employees face with the typical
supplied foam earplugs when they try to expand back
to their original shape, and/or the constant
pressure of a set of earmuffs.
Insta-Mold's will also reduce the amount a
company annually spends on hearing protection
requirements. With a lifespan of 4-7 years depending
on use, working environment and employee care, Insta-Mold's
have benefits beyond just hearing protection. Below
is a quick cost comparison chart reflecting the
widely used "uncorded" foam disposable earplug
($0.20/pair - $0.35/pair) versus a set of "corded"
Insta-Mold's. This example makes a conservative
assumption that an employee will use only two pairs
of "uncorded" foam plugs each day for a total year
of 240 work days. ("Corded" foam earplugs are
generally $0.15 to $0.20 more expensive per pair).

is saved can be better allocated to research and
design, machinery maintenance, computer upgrades,
building improvements, and employee hiring and
training. The immediate benefits will be recognized
to both company and employee for many years to come.
